I am a photographer who has taken pictures, (snaps), for many years. After an accident which, temporarily, severely curtailed my movement, I started to take the art of photography more seriously. I attended classes, went on courses and avidly watched online tutorials, while constantly practicing. Now I feel that I am no longer taking snaps, but am taking photographs which show what I feel about the subject in the image. My favourite subjects are wildlife and landscapes, but I also enjoy studio and street photography.
At present photography has to take second place to work. My wife, son and I own and run a riding centre and coffee shop and while all of us can cover any of the jobs, we each cover one area. My current job is running the coffee shop, the others say it is to keep me out of the way, but actually it is because I am the best baker. While teaching riding doesn't give me as much time as I would like to get out with my camera, it does allow me to run photography courses and classes throughout the year.
