Junior Photography Club

Making photography fun for young people

Giving all young people, from eleven years upwards, the chance to try taking photos. They will be able to borrow cameras, have help and assistance while experiencing the fun of trying to capture, 'Just the right shot'.

Challenge

Every successful product is the fruit of hard work and we will face a new challenge each day and each day we will have fun and some hard work overcoming them.

Value

Children of all ages, from eleven years upwards, and standards will be able to take advantage of this club. There is no need for them to own a camera or to have any previous experience. The club is open ended, with no time limit on how long any child wants to come along for. The whole idea is for them to enjoy trying out photography by having a hands-on experience with no pressure. In each session there will be something for them to discover and each young person will be encouraged to discover things in their own way and their own time. Photography is a fun hobby, it is also a healthy hobby since much of it is spent outdoors. We all see things differently and my way of teaching encourages each person to explore their own, individual view of the world. Each of the above images means something to the person who took it. Each image is an expression of the photographers individuality. This artistic individuality is what I hope to nurture in each young person.

The Cost

I am charging £60 per person for a two hour session, which includes a drink and a cake. There is no charge for the use of a camera.

During term time we will be doing a weekly session, but in the holidays; it will be possible to do a morning or an afternoon session.

Parents are welcome to come along and sit in on the sessions, especially with the younger children. Since part of each session will be outdoors, suitable clothing must be worn.
